Are your ankles swollen? Maybe at the end of the day or all the time? Swollen ankles are a sign of edema. This is when your body is retaining fluids and is common in the elderly, sick, obese, and overweight people. Sometimes otherwise healthy people get edema just by sitting at a desk all day.
Edema is not something easy to "cure." It is often a symptom of other problems. But if you can reduce your edema, the other problems you have become easier to work on.
Getting your feet up higher than your heart is a good way to reduce edema symptoms. In this video I am holding my legs and feet up in the air. But propping them up on the wall works just as well and is not as difficult.
I often have edema and do this move many times a day. I use the wall for help or do this move as you see here. I'm moving my feet and ankles and trying to get some action going on.
You can do this on the ground, but it is hard for me to get down there and back up again. It is much easier to do this move in my bed. This way I don't have any excuse, since I'm there a few times a day and at night anyway.
