Hello!
This video is a bit late since I tried 4K editing, and... hmm... while the editing part went well, minus one crash while editing. (Btw. it's a good thing kdenlive can restore the edit exactly where it had crashed.)
Still, editing this video took me quite a while of time, and to top it off the wise me decided to also render it in 4K. The result was 3.5h time lost rendering, and a 4.5GB file, that I eventually had to transcode to 1080p with Handbrake.
The video is similar to earlier, but I think I did better with the edits this time.
I've included the Creative Commons Attribution licensed song Evolution by Josh Woodward in the beginning. Then there's a gym part with , and after gym was done, I went to eat fast-food at McDonalds. (I was hoping to get a Hot Devil hamburger, but the campaign was over. Luckily there was a new campaign with a spicy burger.)
You may want to ignore the end part of the video, because it is a bit dull. I just wanted to document a visit to an automated McD, and learn editing tricks while doing so. This time I learned that Automask is a cool tool for automatically tracking and blurring an object like a credit card, or driver's license.
(Oh, in case you were wondering, I edited most of the video in 4K, starting at 4m50s. I wanted to know if it was possible on Linux, and I can't say it's not. I think 4K is more than viable option on Linux. You'll just need some heavy processing power as kdenlive (AFAIK) doesn't support GPU rendering (yet?), and the rendering unfortunately takes ages. My 17 minute clip took 4.5 hours to render. And I still had to transcode it to be smaller because I don't believe D.Tube supports 4K.)
Anyhow, the video is now ready for watching. I hope you like, at least part of it, and I'll be seeing you guys again with another video later. (I got a permission to record and publish some video from our aikido dojo!)
See ya!
