intermittent Fasting // Officially Starting With The Rojak

Hi There SteemVerse Friends,

OK I may be stretching it by calling this a salad of sorts. True it does have some fresh veggies like turnip, cucumber and bean sprout though I always get them to leave out the bean sprout so it can keep longer. It also has a variety of savoury flour-y bits that make the biggest portion of the dish and hard boiled eggs.

Of course over time, this dish has evolved into adding noodles, and squid but I like to stick to the original. The original name for it is Pasumbar. But along the way, the name Rojak Pasumbar stuck. Some also call it Rojak Mamak named after the people who normally sell it. Mamak means Indian Muslims. There is another kind of Rojak which has only fruits with a different paste/gravy. Hence the argument that this is not Rojak.

This was my last meal for first day of my Intermittent Fasting. And I am typing this the next day, and it lasted me 16 hours :).
