This high voltage connector, AKA High Tension Connector was a behemoth. At its smallest it was about 5" in diameter. The other end goes to a big high tension tank, about the size of a refrigerator. It had to be lifted up by wench onto a roller with linear bearings so I could slide the thing back. I will write a nice piece on this monster TEM int the future, when I can find the best time to do it. The reason why it is so big is because high voltage requires a lot of insulation. I am not dead sure what gauge the wires are inside the connector, but I am betting they were no larger than 4 gauge, or about 0.2" thick.
