Hello everyone!
Yesterday morning, after I woke up, I took my smartphone and looked at the hive feed. Among the many posts, a publication made by a few hours earlier jumped to my eye: the addition of a project to an external site, aimed at collecting contributions from the community to translate the web app and the mobile app into multiple languages. Being Italian, I decided that I would have a look later and maybe participate in the project.
No sooner said than done.
Later I reopened the Hive Feed and the Ecency post, followed the link to the external site and logged in after signing up. I looked around, trying to understand how the translation process worked. The first steps on the platform were quite simple, only when I started translating the sentences I found myself faced with a doubt: I had to translate the sentences together with the code strings as they were or I had to consider only the words ? I put the project aside a second time and asked for help in the* Ecency*'s post, which promptly replied. Not being an expert in writing in HTML or similar formats for the editing of websites, I had no idea of the choice to opt for.
My doubt was soon resolved, indicating the translation to be carried out as that of the words alone. Last night I turned on my PC, connected to the platform, and started translating the first strings. Many were unique, simple words that were easy to transform into my language. I only encountered a hitch with a handful of strings among those I faced; after a prompt explanation from the Ecency team, I proceeded to edit the dubious translations.
I took the series of screenshots you see during the hour dedicated to translation last night. Unfortunately the constant interruptions of the Wi-Fi connection didn't help me, but in the end everything went smoothly. I finished the first 2 pages of strings, anyway far from the end of the job.
I'll post a new update once I'll be halfway through. In the meantime, I greet you and thank you for your attention. And considering that my translation speaks Italian ...
