Since we spent the weekend in Charlottesville to celebrate, we had a lovely, low-key and delicious meal at home on our actual anniversary-got wine drunk.... and ate year-old cake.
Let me tell you, I was nervous about that cake. Since we didn't get much on our wedding day, I had pretty much been looking forward to it for a year. A lot of people had said that there cake was not good and they would not recommend it. Well I made sure to wrap ours SUPER tight in hopes that it would keep it as fresh as possible. It worked! The cake was surprisingly really good and still VERY moist! This is one happy girl.
It's kind of sad that we are no longer "newlyweds". I'll say, it still feels like it though :) May it never fade.
