Hello Steemit Fellows😉
my happiness is watching this guy eating his breakfast
What a nice day to start this week with more spirit and encouraging words. I've seen friends made curation of other friends last week. And I've seen strangers become friends through curation contest too😊 taking my words into account to create more inspiring posts. These hectic days in the shop seem will never end and nothing to complaint at all, I'm so grateful for everything in my life and on Steemit.
Before moving out to Pamulang, South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia, I have a happy life in my hometowns, yup I have 2 places that I considered as my hometowns, Banda Aceh and Lhokseumawe in Aceh Province. When I was in Elementary School ( I didn't go to kindergarten but spent 7 years at the elementary school, others usually take 6 years), my favorite's breakfast was simply sandwich😊 sliced wheat bread with margarine and sugar sprinkled. My Dad was preparing it for us while Mommy still on her bed due to pregnancy or sickness. When I entered junior and senior high school, breakfast has never be a routine to start the day for me, sometimes because we cannot afford to buy the bread but sometimes because I'm too lazy to prepare and have any breakfast though😆. Till I left my parents' house to continued my study in Banda Aceh, I seldom have breakfast. After reading reaction about breakfast and foods through comments, I think that I need to share my favorite topic so far on Steemit😀 people around me, hardworking men and women and things they sell everyday around the place where I live now.
Gado-gado Lontong or rice bar and various vegetables with peanut sauce👍👍👍
fresh from the blender stone, on site
I have eaten this kind of food as breakfast or lunch during the days in unversity, friends would just bought me this food as bribery😂 well.. I was calling as Preman, the pushover person😊though I've never used any violation to be one. So, let's keep it for another post later and continue with the food.
the seller is pushing his cart to go to a place where he usually parks his cart and wait for customers, this is the first time I saw him passes by our shop and I stopped him, it was 10 am
5 people were there at the shop and they said they'd like to have breakfast, so I asked the seller to prepare 4 with medium hot taste and 1 with non-hot taste of Gado-gado Lontong for me. And here are the pictures of how he prepared the food for us.
after parking his cart in a safe mode😄 he starts by pinching the fresh chayenes for the hot taste with a little help of salt
He uses the wooden pincher
He adds water to liquid the spicy peanuts paste and turn it into sauce and add lime juice to add an extra refresh favor
next step is slicing the rice bars
add the boiled vegetables and split into 4 piles
almost complete
ready to wrap
done and wrap it
The final additional things to add before the food delivered to customers is chips or kerupuk.
People here in Pamulang call this food Gado2 Lontong, while people in Aceh will call this Lontong Pecal. Gado-gado is a word that referring to a mixed of various kind of things, whether to eat or to do. In this Gado2 Lontong, The Seller use boiled corns, green bean sprouts, water spinach, papaya leaf, cassava leaf, long bean, fried marinated tofu and tempe, potatoes and chayotes, aahh the fresh cucumber. In Aceh, if people use boiled vegetables will call it as pecal, and Gado-gado for fresh vegetables with egg and spesific peanut sauce with coconut milk.
the rice bar wrapped in coconut leaves not banana leaf
The seller usually prepares the ready to use peanuts paste/sauce and here is the information about the peanut sauce 👉 About Peanut Sauce, the peanut sauce also use as meat skewer sauce🍢, noodles 🍲 and as dip for fries.
That's all for this post😉 I am so glad that the seller let me took his pictures and activity on preparing this food for us. After giving the money for the price of 5 wrapped foods @12k equal to $0.8, total is 60k equal to $4, He continues to packed up and push his cart to his usual place about 300 meters from our shop.
