It is a the first Wednesday of the month of March 2020. Everything was exciting right from the moment we decided to go somewhere different; our cassava farm.

Located an hour thirty minutes walking distance and a ten minutes drive from my 🏠. Being that we had some 🚿 of rain two days ago, we thought that the soil had soften for cultivation.

The ground was so hard that we couldn't cultivate at ease. It took a lot of energy to pull out a stand of cassava tubes from the ground.

We could only harvest a small portion compared to the remaining portion.

I enjoyed peeling the cassava bark with knife, cutting out the stump with a machete.

The cassava will be soaked to ferment for grating and onward processing into a food product called fufu.

Cassava is one crop plant that is very useful in all of it's components.
The peel is a good source of organic manure.
Thank you for sharing in my joy
