Hey, I’m Edwina and I’ll take you on an adventure with me in Spain and basically finding myself again. So Jaén, Spain. I’ve met amazing people on my trip here. The mother with the fussy baby on the flight from Nigeria to Doha , the Pakistani who turned out to be a great friend to a drunk on the bus who delayed us. Anyways getting here wasn’t easy ,plus I wasn’t ready for how little people understood English in Jaén. Anyways I've had to overcome hard situations with terrible Spanish ,lol and go out by myself as much as I can.
Jaén is like one big mountain, taking walks feels like mountain climbing daily. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost a lot of weight but climbing all those places and processing my thoughts feel like a victory every time. I’m one step closer to figuring out what I’m supposed to be doing with no pressure.
It’s cold here especially for someone who lives in Tropical Africa and there’s no pepper what Nigerians call rodo so cooking some dishes hasn’t been fun. I went to the cathedral which was built in the 13the century and boy did I feel like one of Dan Brown’s characters discovering a mystery in a church painting that could save the world. I got to light candles for my family members at 0,1 euros and said some prayers. Anyways, it’s been amazing so far and let’s see where next Europe takes me. Cheers.
