I know I have been really quiet lately, and haven't posted anything in months. I'll try to be active!
I decided a few months ago (after seeing a friend do the same thing) that I was going to grow my hair so I could cut it and donate it towards a wig. It takes 20 ponytails to make a wig but I have so much hair that it's probably worth two ponytails 😂 The wigs are given to cancer and alopecia sufferers.
This is my before picture.
Yesterday I (with a lot of nerves) got it cut. My hairdresser commented that she hadn't seen me in a long time (oops). came for moral support.
These are the plaits all ready to be sent away.
The finished product.... I'm still getting used to it, it's not quite long enough to tie up completely so it's tickling my face and I'm having trouble brushing it (its almost too short for my brush!) but it will grow on me (literally 😂)
I'm also fundraising for three charities: I am Hope ( which provides free counselling), Cure Our Ovarian Cancer and the Heart Foundation. If you'd like to donate even a small amount it would be really appreciated.
Hope everyone is well!
Kirsty
