Hellow Foodies and Steemit Fellows😉
Yaaaayy😃 it's Friday and it's time to send some blows to my fellow contenders😉 at #fff by 😘
I'm just so happy when My Hubby said He craved for fish soup like Tomyam😊 though I forgot how to make that one😂😂 I remember I made it 2 and half years ago when we still live in Banda Aceh, where you can find any kind of fishes and other sea creatures in any size you want😊.
since I was so serious on my recipe's experiment, I forgot to documenting the process😂😂
My asked me to check the recipe from cookpad or other site about the recipe😊 but I refused his idea and try my best to try what my mind told me to. Lucky that our travelling vegetable's seller, Kang Jawirio still has the shrimps and squids😊, I just grab it all and corriander powder (instead of corriander leaves😆 he hasn't had that one😊)
I seperated the head and tails of the shrimps, head will be boiled for cats and tails for the brooth. I blended the garlic, corriander, a slice of ginger, and one big cayenne. Prepare the minced galangal, minced lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf and bayleaf.
Stir-fry the seasonings for few minutes,aahh.. yeap, sliced onion first😊 add the galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf and bay leaf till it smells good and add the shrimp. Stir-fry it for 3 more minutes and add the shrimp's brooth. Let it simmers for 10 more minutes after adding sliced bilimbis and a sliced tomato. Check the taste by adding some salt and a tsp oyster sauce. Done!
the yummy tummy black squid soup😀
I supposed to cook something like on the cook book recipe with the squid😊
Acehnese Squid Stir-fry it said😂
But I have something in my mind 😉 I have a big carrot and then I grated it. I prepared the seasoning like shallot, turmeric, ginger, garlic and cayenne (no corriander for this😀)
I stir-fry the sliced green chillies, the seasoning and the carrot for few minutes then add the coconut cream and dissolved it some water too.
beautiful isn't it?
I cooked it on low heat for few minutes till the carrot soften and it has a sweet taste already😊.
time to add the sliced squids😊 and I didn't clean it tints😊
Ahh.. yeap, I'll make it fresher by adding a sliced bilimbi later😊 I have tomato, but sometimes bilimbi would just gives a better fresh taste than tomato or lemon juice 😊. Cooked it for 5 minutes in medium heat and the beautiful yellow colour faded away😂😂😂
yaayyy... it slowly turns to dark green soup😂
My Mommy would laughed at me if She knews that I didn't clean the squid properly like she taught me when I was a kid😊. Squid in Achenese Language called as "Noh" also a shortname of My Father😂😂 so, sometimes when our neighbour asking for what's our menu today? I would proudly said Mom cooked Father's Fish in Soy Ketchup 😆 I don't really understand why the Achenese named Squid as a shortname of a prophet who was living in a Whale belly for years before Allah Sent him back to his community. Prophet Yunus as or Jonah😊.
Okay, were are we? FOOD FIGHT FRIDAY, RIGHT?
Time to add the sliced bilimbi and salt to taste and it turn out to be sooooooo perfectly tasty😊. No pepper or nutmeg to add, no kaffir lime leaf or bayleaf or lemongrass or galangal too😆 just perfect like that and My Squid Soup also in a perfect black gravy thing.
it's been for sometimes I've never seen My Hubby eats more than 3 times a day😊
But with those Yummy Tummy Fish Soup which I named it Tom-cik instead of Tomyam😂 and by midnight, I saw and empty bowl of My Black Squid Soup😊. He just back and fro to the dining table more than 3 times😂😂😂.
He fights the sea food I made for him😊
as a habit, I never ate immediately after I cooked delicious food, I love to see the man I love eats it, so.. He picked up some rambutans for me😊 and now I know, I'll survive with Rambutan only😂
