Berry Season / ベリーの季節

White asparagus and rhubarb season is over but now comes berry season! When I was in Japan, I didn't eat berries as much as I do in Germany. I enjoy this season a lot.

Although berries are not cheap, we end up buying 1-2 packs at weekly market. I like the taste and I wish my daughter enjoy local seasonal taste. It was like my mother 😊

Luckily we found a stand that sells berries in a good price. Seems they are mixture of nursery and farm. Sometimes they have mix of berries.

I appreciate to the local seasonal produce.

............... and as always, I wish I have my own garden soon and plant these perennial plants!

夏至が過ぎて、アスパラガスやルバーブはまた来年！というこの時期、ドイツはベリーの季節になります。思い浮かぶだけでも、いちご、ブルーベリー、ラズベリー赤・白、ヨハネスベリー赤・白・黒（カラント）、グースベリー、ブラックベリーなどなど。たくさんのベリーがマーケットに並んでいます。

子どもが好きなんですよね、、、日本の高級いちごほどではありませんが、きちんと地元産の物を買うと、1パック3-4ユーロ（350-500円ほど）します。とはいえやっぱり季節のものはおいしいし、子どもにも季節のものの味を知ってほしいしで毎度マーケットでは1、2パック買ってしまいます。お菓子を焼くこともありますが、生がおいしいのと、高価なのとで、そのままで食べたり、ヨーグルトやオーツの上にのせて食べることが多いです。

庭に植物があると際限なくとれるので、今年いちごを植えたのに続いて、ラズベリーとヨハネスベリーも地植えにして来年はたくさん収穫したいです。ああ早く自分の庭がほしい！またいつもの結論です😅
