Ingredients.
- 1/2 pound of shrimp (shelled and deveined).
- 1/4 cup tempura flour.
- 1/8 cup cool water.
- 1 shallot (finely chopped).
- 1 ginger (finely chopped).
- Salt, white pepper and vegetable oil.
- Dipping sauce: fish sauce or chilli sauce.
Instructions.
- Mix well shrimp with 1 teaspoon salt, white pepper, ginger and shallot in a bowl, set aside for about 10 minutes.
- Combine tempura flour with cool water in a large bowl until well blended.
- Put shrimp into powder to coat.
- Heat vegetable oil in the saucepan over medium low heat. Add shrimp and fry well on the both side until golden.
- Put the fried shrimp into a strainer to drain oil.
- Serve hot with fish sauce and chilli or chilli sauce.
