Ingredients.
For sticky rice.
- 500 grams glutinous rice.
- 1 teaspoon salt.
- 120 ml of warm water.
- 100 grams peanut.
For sausage.
- 400 grams smoked sausage.
- Red pepper (thinly sliced).
- Leek (cut into 2 inches, thinly sliced).
- 1 onion (thinly sliced).
For dried onion.
- 10 shallots (thinly sliced).
- 20 ml of vegetable oil.
- 1 teaspoon sugar.
Instructions.
- Prepare the sticky rice: In the large saucepan, soak glutinous rice with warm water for at least 1 hours. Set aside.
- Soak peanuts with the hot water, set aside for at least 1 hour. Set aside.
- Drain and rinse the glutinous rice until water is clear.
- Mix well soaked glutinous rice with salt, soaked onion, steam over low heat for 40 minutes.
- Fried onion: Fry sliced dry onions with vegetable oil until golden. Then remove fried onion and mix with 1 teaspoon sugar. So fried onion can crispiness.
- Heat oil in the pan, add sausage, red pepper, leek and onion, fry stir well for about 5 minutes.
- Serve the sticky rice with sausage and dried onion.
