What is Breadfruit?
Breadfruit is a species of flowering tree in the mulberry and jackfruit family originating in the South Pacific and eventually spreading to the rest of Oceania.
Is Breadfruit good for you?
Breadfruit is high in carbohydrates and a good source of antioxidants, calcium, carotenoids, copper, dietary fiber, energy, iron, magnesium, niacin, omega 3, omega 6, phosphorus, potassium, protein, thiamine, vitamin A and vitamin C.
Preparing my Sliced and Roast Breadfruit
Just to make sure the Vegetable is thoroughly roasted, turn it onto the side for another ten minutes, rotating it slowly as it roasts.
Remove the vegetable out of the wood fire🔥.
Allow it to cool for about an hour. Now, carefully peel the blackened roasted skin with a sharp knife. Then remove the center piece or the heart as it is sometimes called... Cut 1-inch slices along the length of the vegetable and arrange them with your favorite meat or meat-kind.
Finish Roasted Breadfruit... Ready to eat with your Favorite meat kind.
