Watching the news last night after catching up on GOT I realized we'd have an unusually warm morning here in So Cal. Knowing this and thinking I might give myself the opportunity to sleep in later than usual, I decided to prepare overnight oats for my family and I. Super easy and yummy!
Layer a mason jar with quick oats, enough vanilla unsweetened almond milk or any milk you have on hand just till the oats are covered without drowning them, applesauce or sliced bananas, a drizzle of honey or molasses, a drop of real vanilla extract and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice or cinnamon. I prefer cinnamon. Cover and leave overnight and in the morning you'll have the best morning cereal ever!
I like to add candied walnuts and dried blueberries to mine as well. Super easy and delicious!
