I'm a big fan of seafood and so when I heard there was a new restaurant specializing in Crab and Lobster opening in Bangkok, I knew I had to go.
The restaurant is called Crab and Claw and can found in the EmQuartier mall which is located at the Phrom Phong Skytrain station. Here is a picture of downtown Bangkok with one of these famous Skytrains crossing the intersection.
My date and I arrived at Crab and Claw for dinner and were shown to a nice table in the corner, away from the hubbub in the main part of the restaurant.
First we ordered half a dozen oysters, I don't remember where they had been imported from but everything at Crab and Claw is flown in fresh daily from around the world.
We also ordered this wonderful crab dip which came with squid ink crostinis and lettuce. I could have eaten this all night it was so good. But I held off as we'd come to try the specialty of the house - The Lobster and the Crab.
But before ordering the main course we decided to try some prawns which I have to say were absolutely delicious.
Finally it was time to order our main courses, we had already decided to have the biggest crab they had and as you can see from the picture it was pretty darn huge. It came with a nice pot of warm melted butter to dip the succulent crab meat into.
My mouth is watering just remembering how delicious this crab was!
And finally we got our Lobster, which wasn't the biggest (they'd sold out already, so next time I'll order the lobster first!), but it wasn't exactly small and given how much food we'd eaten it was more than enough. Of course if they did have the larger size we would have found a way to eat it that's for sure!
If you are ever in Bangkok and you like seafood, then I highly recommend Crab and Claw. Everything about it was excellent and although it wasn't cheap, it was definitely worth it.
