Things I miss about Europe for $500 Alex.
Man o man...scrolling through my pics I came across several of the absolutely amazing Belgian Liege Waffles I had in Bruges and Amsterdam not too long ago.
There is nothing like it here even though they advertise themselves as “Belgian” waffles.
I learned what separates it and started making it at home myself. Not only are there the little chunks of Pearl Sugar in the batter on the true Liege Waffles...but it’s not a batter at all but more of a dough. It makes an absolute world of difference and every person I’ve made it for notices immediately.
I love serving it with fresh whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate spread, and fresh berries. Bomb!
Have you ever made homemade Belgian Liege Waffles with the pearl sugar? If so I’m dying to try a few different recipes. If you have a favorite and feel like sharing, please post it in the comments below!!!
