My wife and kids went to visit and stay at my wife’s parent’s house for a couple of days to get a prolonged trip in. I have taken the opportunity to catch up a little at work in the evening, but got home last night in time to enjoy a “bachelor’s” meal.
Given that most meals need to please many mouths (including young kids), it is not too often that I can enjoy a big steak from the grill. I took full advantage of this bachelor’s meal opportunity, and grilled a porterhouse steak last night… check it out!
It came out a delicious medium-rare, and I didn’t have to worry about “onion breath” after the meal since no one was home, so I had nearly half an onion with the steak. I then caught up on some man-TV (Gold Rush and sports)… kinda nice!
However, truth is that I miss my family, and look forward to their return tomorrow. Life is better with them around!
