As most everyone likely knows, one of the best things about a fair is the food! While there are some regular food vendors at many fairs, there are also a large amount of unique foods that are often head-stratchers to even figure out if it would be tasty or not.
Whenever I get to attend a fair, I always try to get odd things – I feel it is part of the experience!
Here are the items my wife and I ate at the Los Angeles County this last weekend:
Shrimp Pesto Loaded Curly Fries:
These ended up being pretty tasty – I give it a 4 out of 5 Steem. There was a lot of shrimp on the fries, and the pictures do not do the dish justice – I weighted like 1 pound! The pesto was an interesting element, and did shine through the cheese sauce enough to make it successful!
Mexican Corn in the Cup:
This was Ok, but nothing spectacular – I give it 3 out of 5 Steem. This was a cup filled with sweet corn, which was roasted on the spot, and then a blend of Mexican spices, cheese and a lime to squeeze over. It was good, but would made a good side as a complement to something else, as opposed to eating it by itself.
Fireball-Infused Caramel Banana Donut
This was delicious – I give it a 5 out of 5 Steem. While not healthy in the slightest, this was a large donut with a cinnamon Fireball whiskey glaze, topped with whipped cream, bananas, and caramel sauce. It was a knife and fork kind of donut for sure, but was a perfect treat to eat at the fair!
Thanks for visiting my blog and taking a tour of our food adventure at the fair! What is something unique you have eaten at the fair?
Take care,
Brian
