I left Colorado Springs in the snow this morning and headed for a direct flight to San Diego to meet up with a friend. After renting a nice little car we drove north about 4 hours along the coastline to Santa Barbara for a short 4 day vacation and a little business.
The pier in Santa Barbara is beautiful and driving over the old wooden rickety bridge is a little scary for the very first time when you have to listen to all the wood creek as you drive along. There are 4 or so restaurants at the end of the pier and we were headed for some lobster tacos, cold beer and a nice sunset.
The lobster tacos were served with a crunchy Chile & lime relish and some rice. They were not the best lobster tacos I ever had but they were pretty good compared to what you can buy in Colorado. I’m gonna be here for a few days so my goal is to search out the best food and drinks for the evening meals.
If you ever find yourself around the Los Angeles California area, the drive is fantastic.....even though lots of the landscape has recently been burned from the wild fires. They are now under control and supposedly 100% contained so don’t let that ruin your trip plans to come this way. Cheers.
