Refreshing and healthy vegan lemon drink
There are varieties of lemonade found throughout the world. Lemonade is considered a healthy drink but I always feel remorse after drinking any sugary drink. To make lemonade more healthy I made it with jaggery instead of white sugar.
Replacing sugar really made it healthy and more delicious.
Ingredients
- Lemon juice 250 ml (Squeezed from 1 kg lemon)
- Jaggery powder 400 gm
- Himalayan salt (Sandhav namak) - 1tsp (optional)
Procedure
- To make concentrate mixed all ingredients and blended to dissolve jaggery. When jaggery is dissolved filtered and stored in a dry glass bottle.
- To serve, 1-2 tbs concentrate mixed with 200 ml water. The quantity of concentrate varies according to taste.
- Can be served chilled in summer and lukewarm in the winter season.
