Going vegetable market is my routine. I go to market to buy fresh green stuff almost every alternate day.
Today I bought lots of fresh stuff and kept in my kitchen. After some time all of sudden saw sunlight coming on fruits and vegetables and that were shining in sunlight specially fresh grapes and pomegranates were looking more attractive.
Without any second thought I took my camera and clicked that fresh moment.
Our mother nature has given us so many fruits and vegetables which are the source of almost all essential nutrients. By consuming plant based diets we not only avoid any animal cruelty but also save our environment by decreasing our carbon foot prints.
After turning vegan I always read more about benefits and use of fresh fruits and vegetables which encourages me to consume more this stuff. I think most of the people knows its benefits but overlook it. But reminding again and again something, affects us inside and we started to think about that.
Here I am sharing some benefits of green diet which I am sure will help you to remind again.
- Greens are very rich in minerals and some of the most essential nutrients: magnesium, calcium, potassium, and vitamins C, B, E and K are found in green foods which are all vital to our body's health.
- Greens contain many essential nutrients that help protect the immune system and fight off viruses and bacteria.
- Most green foods, such as spinach and broccoli, are considered super foods because they contain a high amount of antioxidants in them.
- Green leafy vegetables are rich in beta-carotene, which can also be converted into vitamin A, and also improve immune function.
- These vegetables also contain an abundance of carotenoids-antioxidants that protect cells and play roles in blocking the early stages of cancer.
- Greens have very little carbohydrates, sodium and cholesterol, which is good for our health.
- Broad beans are an excellent vegetable source of protein and fiber. They are also rich in both folate and B vitamins, which we need for nerve and blood cell.
- The nutrients in fruit are vital for health and maintenance of your body. Potassium content in the fruit can reduce our risk of heart disease and stroke, it also reduce the risk of developing kidney stones and help to decrease bone loss as we age.
- Fructose and essential nutrients present in the fruits help us feel healthy and energized.
The list of benefits could be very long and good thing is that there is no harmful effects of eating green stuff opposite to eating animal sourced food like milk, eggs and meat.
Human being is a herbivore by nature and simple proof is that human can live happy and healthy without consuming any animal sourced products but can not stay healthy without eating plant based diet.
