African WildFire BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
250 ml ketchup
20 ml Worcestershire sauce
235 ml molasses
25 g brown sugar
10g olive oil
5g dried bird's eye chillies (use less or more to taste)
40 g chopped onion
8 g garlic powder
2 g ground black pepper
2 g cayenne pepper
30 ml lemon juice
150 g tomato juice
30 ml liquid smoke flavoring
Directions
- Add olive oil to pan and saute onions over low heat till translucent, about 7 minutes, stirring gently.
- Add garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and stir over medium heat till mixture begins to bubble.
- Turn heat to lowest setting and let mixture simmer for about an hour, or till it has reached the desired thickness.
- Enjoy with your favourite grilled meats or as a dipping sauce or sandwich sauce.
