Adobong Palaka (Frog)
- Bihira lang ba kayo makakain nang ganito? Samin pwede mo araw-arawan basta umuulan. Pag umuulan kasi nag lalabasan yung masasarap na mga palaka sa aming palayan. Hindi sila marumi kasi dahil sa palayan namin sila kinukuha. Masarap ang palaka(mas masarap pa sa Adobong Manok :D). May sustansya din itong Omega-3, potassium at tsaka Vitamin A. Para itong pinag-halong manok tsaka isda.
Frog taste really good. It is like a combination of chicken and a fish. Frog is rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, potassium and vitamin A. On top of that, the taste and texture of the meat is mild, like a mix of chicken and fish. Apart from being stir-fried the Cantonese way, frog legs can be cooked in a variety of methods, including steamed or stewed. Source
- Yung mga nakakain samin na palaka ay tinatawag na Bull Frogs. Maraming klase nang palaka sa mundo kaya mag ingat sa panghuhuli.
Frog that can be eaten is called Bull Frogs in our place. There are so many types of frog in the word so be careful in getting some.
Ang pagluluto nang Palaka
A way to cook the Frog
- Una, kailangan muna nating i-marinate ang palaka para maging masarap ito.
First, we need to marinate the frog in order to have a good taste. A Juicy one. :)
Marinate
- Mga sangkap sa pag-marinate nang palaka.
Ingredients in marinating a Frog. You'll need:
- Salt
- Powdered Pepper
- Seasoning
- Garlic
- Vinegar and Soy Sauce
- Lemon(Calamansi)
- Hugasan nang mabuti ang palaka upang matanggal ang langsa nito. At ilagay sa strainer at patuyuin.
Wash the frog to remove the reek. Then put it in the strainer and make it dry.

- Pagkatapos patuyuin, ilagay sa malinis na container na paglalagyan nang marinate.
After that, put it in a container where we are going to use for marinating.

- Pisain at ilagay ang bawang sa ibabaw.
Make the garlic flat and put it in the container.

- Ilagay ang pinulbos na paminta.
Put the powdered pepper.

Put the seasoning.

- Ilagay ang toyo at suka.

- Ilagay ang kalamansi, haluin gamit ang iyong kamay at pagkatapos takpan at ilagay sa refrigerator.

Cook the frog
- Ang mga sangkap:
Ingredients:
- Garlic
- Onion
- Powdered Pepper
- Salt
- Seasoning
- Soy Sauce and Vinegar
- Una, hiwain ang ahos at bawang
Slice the Onion and garlic
- Ilagay sa strainer ang marinated na palaka.
Put the marinated frog into the strainer.

- Painitin ang kawali. Pagtapos, lagyan nang mantika.
Heat up the Pan. After that put the oil.

- Antaying uminit ang mantika tsaka pa ilalagay ang ahos at bawang.
Wait until the oil is hot and then put the garlic and onions.

- Pag naging brownish na ang ahos, ilagay ang palaka.
If the garlic is brownish, put the frog. :)

- Lagyan nang paminta at pampalasa tsaka ihalo ang mga ito.
Put the pepper and the seasoning and then mix it up.

- Lagyan nang toyo at takpan. Mag antay nang dalawang(2) minuto.
Put the soy sauce and cover it. Wait for 2 minutes.

- Pagkatapos, lagyan nang suka at ihalo ito. Antaying hangang mamula ang karne at mawala ang sabaw.
Lastly, put the vinegar and mix. Wait until the meat of the frog turns to red/brown.
