Why, it looks like ravioli. But once you cut into it with your fork and bring it into your mouth, you realize that this isn't ravioli at all. In fact, you could crave this during breakfast hours. This is actually a dish called Egg-ioli that I tried at the soft opening of Breakfast @ Bryant's, located at 44G Manchester Avenue in Forked River, New Jersey.
The dish is comprised of "boiled-like eggs" submerged in a red sauce with a side of toast. I later realized that the dish was supposed to come with a side of breakfast potatoes, which I wasn't offered. The consistency of the eggs were of a hardboiled nature, but worked as a faux ravioli. The red sauce contained some herbs and seasoning that would let me know right away that it wasn't my family's ravioli. However, this treat was very tasty and the red sauce didn't take away from the eggs. Just think of ketchup on an egg sandwich. I would definitely order this item again. BTW, I didn't even miss the potatoes.
