Working in the corporate world could get really stressful at times. What could be a better way to ease the stress away than going to food trips? Nothing! It's the perfect escape for me and my workmates. (Well, at least for us.)😂
Food parks here in Manila are growing in numbers and mostly comes with tent set-ups at parking or vacant lots. Mercato Centrale in BGC is no different than all these.
Location
Mercato Centrale's Midnight Mercato is located at 25th & 7th Ave in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). This is open only every Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6PM to 3AM.
Recently, food parks became a top hangout place of a lot of people who just want to chill and eat good varieties of food. There are just so much to choose from which means, you do not need to go from place to place anymore trying to find the food that your hungry tummy is craving for. No wonder why this gained popularity lately.
We came here at Mercato late at around 11PM but there were still a lot of people during that time. The food stalls are all under the big tents and they are arranged according to the type and classifcation of food they sell.
There were Inihaws or "Ihaw-ihaw" at one side, all kinds of fried streetfoods at the other side, and then adjacent to it are the other varities of food such as lechon belly, shawarma, rice meals and drinks.
lots of choices to choose from in the Ihaw-ihaw stalls
Pinoy streetfoods all lookin' good! There's calamares, fishball, squidball, kikiam, fried crablets, kwek kwek, fried isaw and a lot more!
This is the bomb! They call it dynamite and it's a chili pepper wrapped in lumpia wrapper then fried. A lot of people love this I dont know why when all I could taste is its spiciness. 😅
Shawarma
The drinks section where you could buy beers, iced teas and such.
The tables and chairs for the diners are located in the middle. Although there were a lot of tables and chairs provided, I think it's still not enough especially when this place is always packed with people.
Personally, I wouldn't suggest this as a go-to foodpark since the food are a bit pricey than its usual price(probably because it's located in BGC) but if you think you really need a break and you don't mind paying extra, then this might be a good deal for you. After all, they offer a wide variety of food to choose from so you won't run out of options for sure. ❤
