Actually you dont need to wait for it getting cold to eat Jokbal. Just eat whenever you want. Nothing is matter, nothing can stop you from having this amazing dish.
Jokbal - Korean Braised pork trotters
I have always been a pork trotters lover. Boil or stew or whatevet you do with it, it still has tasty flavor. There is a kind of Korean Town in Hanoi. We can find almost every authentic korean things including food in this place.
And I find out my korean braised pork trotters - Jokbal.
Just looking at photo makes me craving for it. Absolutely appetizing.
The big size trotter will be VND 620000 ($27). Smaller one is a bit cheaper VND 570000 ($25). Actually it is not so different. Just pick big one. It is the whole giant trotter served in the big deep tray with fresh kimchi.
I dont think there is any color can describe this appealing look. The look of the delicious.
You may see it is too greasy to finish that huge portion of trotter. Yeah even a trotter lover like me feels a bit cloyed. But dont worry, There is a special kind of seaweed soup will be served a long with Jokbal as something help to refresh your mouth. Then you will keep eating.
Pick one cabbage leaf, a piece of trotter, a glove of garlic, small piece of green chili, a chopstick of kimchi, and a little of sauce, then wrap it in to a mouthful and have a bite. It’s gonna like fireworks of flavor. :D
Please take this note, wrap trotter with cabbage instead of lettuce for better taste. Believe me.
I was amazed at the first bite. And eat like crazy. Then getting a bit cloyed when have too much trotter. I and my friend couldn’t finish this tray. Just almost finish. It is not because that the dish is not good enough. But just because it is portion for 4 people. Haha.
There is a private group on facebook for review and recommendation of really good restaurants. I was granted the title of raising star and story teller in this group for my quality reviews. Haha. And I also recommended this restaurant in the group. People love it. See all the likes and comments. The restaurant was just known within korean community in Vietnam. But after my post, the restaurant has been more popular with Vietnamese people who love Korean food too.
Maybe, The Owner of the restaurant still dont know why Vietnamese people suddenly visit to try jokbal. Hahaha
