I love to eat, and definitely have wide range of favorites when it comes to food. From desserts to weird delicacies, I am not really a picky eater.😋 As some would ask me how do I define food, well for me “Food is life” haha though not entirely true, because I believe that food alone does not suffice the inner longings of man and it is not the center of everything. But really, my point is that I really love to eat. 😆
While I was still in college, I’ve always wanted to eat in all the restaurants in the city where I stayed during my college years (I might make some blogs about it too, soon). So for today, I will just share with you my experience together with my friends Shein and Jingky, in Camp Lami, a new resto-bar here in the city. These two ladies have been with me in some of my eating adventures and I’m hoping to have more in the future :D
Camp Lami has just started operating later in the year 2017. I got curious by the name, as a Filipino movie released entitled “Camp Sawi” which was real resort (not the real name of the resort though) in Bantayan Island, Cebu where the alleged broken-hearted 💔 can stay and have their “Sawi” moment of being single again. The tagalog word “Sawi” doesn’t necessarily mean broken hearted, since it’s usage as a word is diverse, but for this movie’s sake, it meant that the place was for the broken-hearted. I got intrigued of the newly opened resto-bar since I liked the movie so much and decided to try the new resto-bar in the city. 😁😂
So we went there after our Sunday service since our church is just one ride away from the resto-bar. I was supposed to come here earlier this year but had opted to have companies with me, as the saying goes “The more, the merrier.”👭👯 We indeed had a good time. It was still lunch time when we arrived and there were no other customers yet. The place is not that big and as what I remember, there were only 13-15 tables available. Good thing we were the first, we get to choose the table where we want to sit. We picked this table which is good for 4 persons, and it was under a big canopy. They have this cute succulent in all their tables with the table number on the succulent’s pot. Such a cutie. 🌵
The price is just right for the food, and their service is good. It didn't took to long to wait for the food to be served. They have affordable meals, if you’re on a tight budget you can avail their Lami (delicious in English) Value Meal for only Php 69.00. That’s a meal with rice and iced tea already, so it’s all budget friendly. If you also want to explore some of their other foods, you have variety to choose from: chicken meals, Salads, Seafoods, snacks, beverages and more, although they don’t serve any dessert which is the downside of Camp Lami. Tried to review their menu but they had no desserts on it.
This is what we’ve ordered since we are still new here, so I’ve asked some of my friends who just recently visited the place and they’ve recommended Spicy Buffalo Wings. And I’ve also let Shein choose another course, of which she chose the Calamares, a platter of rice and a pitcher of Iced tea to quench our thirst. By the way, they also serve water if you ask for it (for those who asks for service water😆)
So while waiting for Jingky, we opted to take pictures and selfies, and since they have a free wi-fi connection, Shein was able to upload all the pictures we took instantly. They say a place with wi-fi is indeed a good place, but I still prefer a place/resto where wi-fi is not accessible. Let the dining experience amaze you and talk with the people you’re dining with.
Nothing beats good conversation and a lot of catching up (just like the three of us haha there is always room for chika).
After eating, we took tons of photos for us to keep and remember our happy eating moments.
To wrap everything up, we did enjoy our dining experience and the food was undeniably scrumptious. We will definitely come back here to try out more of their other foods. If you’re looking for a nice place and delicious and affordable food, then you should visit Camp Lami and have your own “Camper’s Experience”. This is a must-visit place in Iligan City.
Thank you for reading this post. And sorry if was a lengthy one, I hope you liked it. 😅 Feel free to upvote, resteem or follow. Stay tune for more of our eating adventures haha but this time I’ll do my best to document and post it. God bless you!
