"BIRYANI" is most famous dish in india and its also available in lots of other country. We can made veg as well as non-veg Birryani. Today we are going to see veg Biryani.
To prepare yummy BIRYANI we need :
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 2 cups Mixed Vegetables (Potato, Carrots, Green Peas and cauliflower cut into small cubes) Â
- 1 Onion (cut into thin Long Pieces)
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 2 Tomatoes (Chopped finely)
- 1 Tsp. Red Chilly Powder
- 1 Tsp. Dhaniya Powder ( dry coriander)
- 4 Cloves
- 1 inch Long Cinnamon
- 3 Cardamom
- 1 Tsp. Ginger-garlic paste
- 4 Green Chilies
- 1 Tsp. Garam masala Powder
- 1 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 mint leaves
- 1/2 Ghee
- 2 Bay Leaves
Method of preparation:
- Soak the rice in water for 15 minutes. Drain the rice; add 4 cups of water and cook till each grain is separate
- Marinate all the ingredients from 5 to 15 above in yogurt fot 30 minutes.
- Fry the bay leaves and onion in ghee till golden brown. Add the cut vegetables and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the marinated masalas to the vegetables, ass 1 cup of water, cover and cook till the vegetables are soft. Once the vegetables are cooked drain the excess water if any.
- mix the cooked rice with the vegetables and saute for 2 minutes.
- serve hot with onion Raita.
