Sometimes at a Chinese restaurant, they'll provide you with a small dish of appetizers on the house.
Recently at Koi Palace in California, I was given peanuts and anchovies, which isn't necessarily new. However, the way they marinated it (with ground red pepper, and also a sticky sweet and sour roast) was absolutely amazing!
