Today I was at Chalandri to meet with a client. Chalandri is a neighborhood at the northern part of Athens and it is one of the high class and expensive areas of the city. When I finished with the meeting I asked my client to suggest place to eat.
And he suggested a Mexican place called Ancho.
It wasn’t far from the meeting so I had my lunch there.
When I saw the entrance, my attention was immediately drawn at the grill part of the sign and made various images in my head with juicy cuts of meat.
And they remained images. As you can see you only had some limited, in my opinion, options.
And the food was already prepared and they just filled the order.
I was disappointed, but also hungry so I gave it a try.
I took a burrito bowl with barbacoa. And while I was seeing the girl preparing the dish I realized that there was no way that this would fill me.
So, I had to order and something else and I got a mini quesadilla with chicken and mushrooms.
The food was ok. Freshly cooked, but nothing more.
The portions were small as can be and the price was too much for what I got, since I paid 11 euros.
I wouldn’t recommend Ancho at Chalandri. It is an average restaurant with way above average prices.
And next time a particular client at Chalandri will be charged more to make up for his brilliant ideas.
And until the next food adventure…
