What you will need:
1 cup flour
1 cup yellow corn meal
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and grease a 9 inch cake pan with butter.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil and honey until well combined. Pour batter into cake pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cornbread comes out clean.
