Hey guys, how are you today? How's the weather? So, remember when I told you in my introductory post that I can't go for more than three days without fruits or veggies? Well, I therefore often find myself making fruit or/and vegetable salads. One of my favorites of such salads is the tasty Waldorf salad and is our recipe for today.
Ingredients:
- Six tbsps mayonnaise
- One tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- A pinch of black pepper
- Two apples, cored and diced
- 150 gms cranberries/ seedless red grapes
- 100 gms sliced celery
- 120 gms chopped walnuts, lightly toasted
- Lettuce
These are quite easy to get and not to mention, at an affordable price. Now, once you have everything, mix the mayo, lemon juice, pepper, and salt in a medium-sized bowl then as you stir, add the apples, walnuts, cranberries/grapes, and celery. Serve on a bed of lettuce
Just look at it, enticing isn't it? And trust me, the taste doesn't disappoint either but don't take my word for it; make it yourself and tell me what you think. It should take you about 15 minutes, after which, you'll have enough Waldorf salad for four. Enjoy!
