Lunch
We were at our local Costco a couple of weeks ago, and the other half saw tins of corned beef. She has had corned beef in the past, but not the tinned variety. Given that Costco sell in bulk, i.e. not just one can, buying from Costco could be interesting, this was a pack of four cans.
I cautioned her about buying something unseen and untried. I would have looked for one tin of the same brand in the local supermarket first. Then if it was what was expected we could buy in bulk afterwards from Costco. She, however insisted, we were here and the tins were on the shelf.
The first tin of corned beef was opened, and, lets say it wasn't quite what she was expecting
Now we have cans of corned beef in the pantry which will be eaten at some stage, and put into different recipes, but aren't quite enjoyed as much as someone thought they would be.
I am thinking of slicing the beef horizontally and making burger patties out of the next tin. I think that a tin could also go well in a pasta or noddle dish.
I am curious how other people have used their tins, any suggestions?
