Last week until the now even though it is already summer the weather here in the Philippines is a little bit cold because of the cold front covering now according to the news.

But before anything else I just want to share a food combo I likely to enjoy during this type of weather here is the unusual combo but commonly known for people of Laguna.

The Champorado & Tuyo Combo (lol)

When I felt the cold weather for couple of days and crave for a snacks I just missed how my mom usually cooks champorado or arozcaldo for our snacks in the cold rainy afternoon then she'll fried some "tuyo" (dried fish) as partner for the champorado. She told me that moreover of its delicious taste it also affordable to prepare. Nowadays we can also buy easy to prepare ready mix of it on local stores or supermarkets. So my wife remembered that she bought one of those champorado mixes last time when we buy some stocks at the supermarket and simply pulled it out and prepare for our afternoon snack.
And here is the Champorado COMBO Starter Kit (lol) :
Of course it would be more delicious if we put some evaporated milk on top then mix it before eating it makes that champorado more creamier and flavorful to enjoy.
I felt that it lacks something so I decided to buy some "tuyo" in a small store near our house and cook it afterwards.
Then the fight begins! we enjoy eating the champorado & tuyo combo perfectly with the cold weather.
