Hi Steemians! Another cooking beef recipe today. This is a perfect recipe for you who doesn't friendly with spicy taste. This is one of Acehnese ancient culinary. It is commonly found on meugang day and Eid. We call this sie masak puteh. Puteh means white in Acehnese, but my son says it is grey not white. :D
Ingredients:
- 200 gr beef
- Coconut milk
- Union
- Cinnamon
- Cardamom
- Cloves
- Star Anise
- Bay leaf
- Curry leaf
- Lemon grass
- Tamarind
- Salt
- Poatato
- 2 tbsp cookin oil
Smoothen seasoning:
- 6 Union
- 6 Garlic
- 8 Candle nut
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp caraway
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions:
- Wash beef and add in smoothen the seasoning.
- Heat the cooking oil and fry the union, lemon grass, curry and bay leaf.
- Add in seasoned beef, let it simmering to let the seasoning sink in.
- Add in clove, star anise, cardamom and cinnamon.
- Add in coconut milk.
- When the beef get soft, add in salt and potatao.
- Serve.
