A couple nights ago, my husband and I went to a really great sushi restaurant called Sushi Choo Choo that delivers delicious sushi in a unique way... via conveyor belts. No matter where you are sitting in the restaurant, a conveyor belt topped with delicious sushi, appetizers and desserts moves past you.
Sushi Conveyor Belt Video
Here's a video I made using Inshot. See below to learn how. I added upbeat music and a drooling emoji to my video. Notice the reflection of the sushi chefs preparing dishes.
Before each new item is a description.
No ordering necessary
You simply take whatever you would like to eat off the conveyor belt, from various sushi rolls...
black pepper tuna sushi and the sweet, tangy taste of seaweed salad.
Each plate is color-coded and corresponds to a specific price.
At the end of the meal, the wait staff provides you with a bill based on the tallied plates.
Pros
- Quick, no waiting
- Seeing the dish is better than just a description or a photo
- Fun
- Affordable as far as sushi goes
- Different
Cons
- Easy to get tempted to eat too much
- Can add up quickly

In conclusion
I've been to another sushi restaurant that has their sushi floating by on a little lazy river in front of you instead of the conveyor belt. I've only seen this type of delivery with sushi. I personally think it would be smart for other types of restaurants to deliver their food to customers this way. You would think that there must be a dim sum restaurant that delivers this way. What about tapas, Indian or Mediterranean foods? So dear friends, what do you think?
