Spring comes and it's a wonderful season. One of nicest traditions we do in Algeria is we welcome spring by special cake called "Lembarjat" lol. we distribute Lembarjat cakes to our relatives, neighbores, friends and everyone in street lol.
Lembarjat is a cake or sweet bread which made of dates and Flour. we use special dates called "Algherss", don't know if it is well know in the world. El gherss is a very sweeeeeeet dates and has much sweet taste more than other dates.
Lemberjet is made of Rough grinding and Flour mixed with El gherss, some oil, cup of milk, yeast and rose water. Then we mix all of them together expet El ghress. when we prepare the paste we put El gherss inside tow layers of the paste and then cook it on fire.
it's really delicious and have wonderful taste. you can eat Lemberjet with milk, tea and even coffe lol.
