OKU Kyoto, the best Macha Latte I ever had

My favorite Matcha Latte is only to be had in Kyoto. There is a small but famous Restaurant called OKU. The Restaurant design is very modern but it mixes old Japanese elements. A little Japanese Garden is just outside of the restaurant.

If you love Matcha this is the Number 1 Place to be to get a Matcha Latte. We had the Lunch Menu before we ordered our desserts. The Lunch Menu is just 18 USD (2000 Yen) and comes with a rice bowl and a Miso Soup. It was a absolutely stunning lunch, Konyaku with Sea-Urchin, Mackerel, Bonito Sashimi and Vegetables.

Their signature drink is the Matcha Latte. I will let you know why I love this Matcha Latte so much. It is made with the best Matcha you can buy in Japan and they are not using too much sugar to sweeten it. It just has a hint of sweetness.

Combine the Latte with a Matcha Roll Cake and you will be in Heaven. The Matcha Roll Cake is so delicious that my friend who hates cake ordered a second cake.
