Only a 3-4 minutes walk from the Sofia Hotel Balkan, a Luxury Collection Hotel is the http://www.shtastliveca.com/ Restaurant. My friend told me that this is indeed his favorite place to go with foreign guests. I was really surprised when the first dishes start to arrive. The tomatoes were out of this world, so tasty and great. We had some yogurt with cucumber and fresh juices to drink, everything was delicious.

Best food in Sofia

The main dishes we ordered were Octopus, Squid and Shrimps. OMG, the Octopus and Squid were so good, even better than in Italy or Greece. We had a delicous meat plate after, but I was too full to eat a lot of that, the Seafood was a real highlight and I recommend this restaurant for anybody going to Sofia. Btw. everything is very reasonable, most dishes cost less than 7USD.
