After posting 5 questions for a drone that will deliver me a pizza, I saw that you , my followers, LOVE it! You motivated me to ask the drone additional 5 questions, just to see if he can respond to these. And no, the drone didn't answer to previously asked questions yet. Maybe he is too shy. So, let's remind how did it all started. Two weeks ago, everyone in the office was surprised after hearing refreshing news that a famous pizza restaurant introduced a new way to send food – a pizza will fly to your home address. Yes, fly. By drone.
And it really sounds cool. A revolutionary way of delivering food that will shorten the time that the pizza takes from the oven to your front door, in this case the window. If we assume that the pizza masters will provide all necessary permits for the management of a drone, in the sense that they will be registered in the Aircraft Records kept by the Directorate of Civil Transport, the drivers of drones will have a medical certificate and passed the “Aeronautical regulations” test and other bureaucratic peripheries, I still have a question:
How do you plan to do that?
In fact, there are 5 more questions that my future food deliver, a favorite flying friend, a mechanical pigeon of peace that calms my hunger – drone should answer.
What if I get hungry at night?
As a rule, I get hungry in the evening, and according to the regulations of the Directorate of Civil Aviation of Serbia, the drone mustn't be driven at night. So, are you going to violate the law just to bring me a pizza? I mean, I would really respect that, but if there is a minimal chance for me to get into trouble, forget it. And I will not call you in the morning to bring me a pizza, forget that as well.
How will you keep my pizza hot? - asked by
You fly in the air, you have all those quick moves, propellers that can cool food. What should I do if I get my pizza cold? Should I shout at you? Should we argue here at the terrace as idiots? And what's your excuse? Traffic jam in the air? Come on!
What if you bring me a hot pizza, but the wrong one?
I'd love to see your face, I mean a propeller when something like that happen.
What if the law doesn't allow you to get to my building?
According to the rules, the drone mustn't approach closer than 500 meters to "important infrastructure facilities", which means - close to power plants, high voltage installations, highways, state institutions, military facilities and prisons. You are immediately losing 70 percent of your customers.
What if the law doesn't allow you to get to me at all?
According to the rules, you must not make noise and endanger security of people, and this means that the dron must not approach closer than 30 meters to people around me. How do I get my pizza then? By an anchor?
