One of my favorite gardeners here in Steemit City is Hive account@aunt-deb who is always "puttering around" (her words) in the garden. Today aunt-deb stopped by the Steemit Diner with a truckload of corn so I could cook it up for all my customers.

I absolutely love corn and corn dishes. My favorite type of corn is called Silver Queen with kernels that are almost white. They remind me of little pearls that shine in the light. Silver Queen corn is very sweet and oh so good when fresh. It's hard to find where I live but when I manage to find it I buy a bunch to freeze so I can enjoy it through the winter.

I've been following Hive account@aunt-deb's famous fire pit project and container garden for a while now and her work is turning out beautiful. Her plants are "growing like weeds!" Recently aunt-deb shared her technique for roasting corn over a fire that amazed me.

Let's Have A Corn Feast!!!

As I cooked up corn on the cob, slathered in butter, aunt-deb manned the fire pit and roasted us up some corn. Her roasted corn was a hit and sold out before the dinner shift was up. The butter was flowing like gravy all day.

For those who didn't want corn on the cob I cooked corn casserole, corn pie, corn bread, corn salad...so many corn dishes some people got corn-fused.
