The French Press
The French press, like other things named "French", is not French. At least, it wasn't patented by anyone from France. It was patented by an Italian.
The simplicity of it's design belies the great job this press does at making coffee. The brew that I get out of my press is much more flavorful and rich than any coffee I have made in a drip maker or even my trusty camping coffee percolator. I was very surprised at how good the French press makes my coffee. I had heard it was good, but, I had no idea.
I am now a changed man. I am a French press snob. I can't help it. Thanks for reading!
