On my journey to becoming the owner of The Grilled Cheese, a food truck that is certain to take Cape Town by storm this coming season, I need to come up with recipes!
I also need to find some fabulously cheesy cheeses, to suit
the various sandwiches on the menu. :D
So today, I took some time to do just that!
Hampy Camper As I Get The Stringy Cheese I Was Looking For!
To find the right cheeses I headed out to the nearest spot that had freshly made, South African cheeses, that are GMO free, organic and free range.
I want my cheese sandwiches to be the best in town, so having great cheeses is essential. Lucky for me there is a place nearby my house that sells the most fab cheeses in town!
After staring into the cheese fridge for hours I finally picked out all my cheese and various other goodies that enticed me.
I then grabbed a few more things... and checked out.
Now it was time to head home and sort out the menu. I will tell you a secret. The best cheese sandwiches start with two different kinds of cheese and some sourdough bread!
After jotting down some recipes it was time to get started...
Then it was time to get cooking. I like to keep my grill hot and then butter the
outside of the sourdough for a nice buttery grill.
