I just loved food and Im sure everyone likes it too. Today I'll talk to you about my recent event I attended with my boss and colleagues where we set agreement of bringing our own contribution of food or POTLUCK.
It was Sunday afternoon when me meet up at the lobby of the condo unit of our boss in Cubao Quezon City (Avida Condominium) and brought with us our own contribution of food.We went straight at the 4th floor where his unit is located and set up the table to prepare the food. It was like a big party with a mixture of meat and seafuds on the table.
I brought with me Shrimp cooked in a butter with salt and pepper and 5 pieces of Grilled Tilapia (species of cichlid fish)with tomatoes and onions from the inside wrap in aluminum foil to make it juicy and tender.
My colleague April ( the one taking selfie) brought with her Cheesy Baked Boneless Milkfish, so she prepare this with chopped white onions mix with lemon and coated with cheese and mayonaise salted with salt and pepper and cooked in oven for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Sherwilliam or Yam (wearing white shirt) as we call him brought with him Chicharon Bulaklak (Deep Fried Pork Mesentery), he slices this into pieces and boiled it for about 30mins to an hour, then placed in the freezer for 12 hours and deep fried in a pan. It is important to make it frozen to make it crispy.
Dinky ( the bald guy on my left) brought with him 2 boxes of Crispy Pata that he bought at Buddies. It comes with soy sauce mix with chili pepper, onions and calamansi.
Khaye (the other girl) on the other hand brought with her Liempo which she bought in one of the famous chicken house in the land (Andoks).
It was an afternoon of simple gathering where we got to know each other better and having a little fun while we talk about our work and how to create action plan to improve our performance.
So unknowingly, Dinky is taking a photos of April and Yam while they are in action of eating and cooking.
Everybody enjoyed the foods and with our stomach so much full after. We also drink some wine and it adds more energy while little being tipsy inur discussion.
We finished at 9pm and I went straight to the bus terminal. I was able to get home by 11pm feeling tired but happy with the event. We plan to meet up again every month and choose who will host next month gathering.
