These sticks stuffed with cheese are so irresistible and easy to make but it is always advisable to find and use the right cheese, in case you do not find the typical cheese, you can use any fresh cheese and make it a bit salty, the result will be practically the same.
Do not stay with the desire to prepare your tequeños, dare to try the typical food of other nations, you will see that they will become your favorites. Below I show you each of the steps for you to prepare them:
Ingredients:
• 300 grams of all-purpose wheat flour.
• 25 grams of egg.
• 40 grams of margarine.
• 100 milliliters of water.
• 10 grams of sugar.
• 5 grams of salt.
• 0.1 grams of yeast.
• Hard salted cheese.
Preparation process:
• All the ingredients must be mixed, except the cheese and kneading is started until a fairly homogeneous mass is reached. If the dough is still a bit sticky you can continue to sprinkle a little more flour, and continue kneading until it is consistent and smooth.
• Then let the dough repodar by a space of 40 minutes. Then the dough is stretched with the help of a roller, until a sheet about 1 mm wide is obtained. And we cut it into long strips.
• Once the ready mass strips are ready, the tequeños are assembled. Cut the cheese in the form of thin sticks and wrap it with the strip of dough in a spiral, trying to make the cheese is well sealed.
• Tequeños are frying, making sure that the oil is very hot, so that they do not burn during cooking, you can control the fire flame by lowering it a little. They are left to brown on all sides and then they are removed and drained on a napkin, to remove excess oil.
• And they are ready to serve hot, accompanied by any sauce, be it mayonnaise, rosé or even a guasacaca.
The "Tequeños Venezolanos" are ideal for a breakfast or dinner, as snacks at a party, and even to incorporate into the lunchbox for the children's snack, accompanied by a good refreshing drink like cold malt. I hope you enjoy them. Greetings.
