Happy to be on track for the goal to eat a meal per day for almost a year. It has so much benefit to clean the body for no good substances but also give time to the digestive system to rest between meal taking periods.
In truth the apple is not the meal in totality. I do enjoy this apple before dinner.
Try to reduce your eating frequence and tell me later the changes you feel after a week of trial. Also, it is important to have a nutritional balance meal on same time each day. I choose vegetables and fish as predominant ingredients.

No need to over eat since the need of energy from food that we eat can only be extracted after 4 to 6 hours.
