Food is a big part of recovery. It’s not the only part (and I’ll talk more about others in future videos) but it might be the most important. It is incredible the difference a good diet can make to your performance on the bike, running track or wherever you are trying to excel. These are the foods I eat and what I always try and go for after a ride.
High carb foods like various fruits and starches have really changed my health for the better.
I try and go for a big fruit smoothie in the morning and afternoon. Or if the fruit quality is really good I would just eat it as is. In the evening I enjoy a warm cooked high carb low fat vegan meal.
I talk more about the type of food I eat and when I eat them in the video. I also state the food I avoid at all costs.
