This was really cool!
Our visit with and my mom has come to an end. They were able to show up a bit prior to the arrival of our newest child "Belle-Pepper" and enjoyed some time with our family after the delivery. While here, my mom helped out with meals and even made a few of my old favorites, including Ribbon Jello!
RIBBON JELLO - EASY ENOUGH, BUT INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL
With Jello available in easy to use packets, the making of this tasty treat is not all that difficult. To put a fun spin on this old favorite, someone came up with the idea of Ribbon Jello, and I've enjoyed this dessert since my childhood, and it was cool to see and eat once again; plus my children were able to enjoy it as well.
Basically, different colors of jello are slowly allowed to set in a large baking dish. Once the first layer solidifies, the next layer is poured and allowed to do the same. To change up the layers a bit, my mom adds evaporated milk to every other layer, making them opaque instead of translucent.
The end result is as attractive as it is delicious, and I may have to make some myself one day (can't rely on my mommy to make it for me forever). Anyway, I saved one piece to photograph and share off for y'all. Have you ever saw ribbon jello before? Have you ever made or eaten any?
Until next time…
STEEMIT LIKE YOU MEAN IT!
